Potencial antioxidante e perfil de compostos fenólicos em plantas com indicativo medicinal

Resumo


Espécies dos gêneros Hibiscus, Flemingia e Moringa são utilizadas na medicina tradicional ao redor do mundo. Apesar das evidências sobre o potencial medicinal destas plantas, são escassos os trabalhos investigando as propriedades antioxidantes de exemplares cultivados no Brasil. Desta forma, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar a atividade antioxidante e o perfil cromatográfico de compostos fenólicos de extratos hidroalcoólicos de flores de Hibiscus diversifolius e Hibiscus cannabinus, e de folhas de Flemingia macrophylla e Moringa oleifera, todas cultivadas em Santa Catarina. Os resultados mostraram que, seja por seu poder antioxidante, pelo perfil cromatográfico, ou ambos, as espécies avaliadas possuem características que viabilizam futuros estudos sobre seus constituintes bioativos.
